Every year, many boat builders compete for one of the most prestigious awards in the boating industry, the "European Powerboat of the Year". The award is presented during the Düsseldorf boat show, which is usually held in January, and honors the top five powerboats from over 200 models launched each year.
For this 2020 edition, the 23 pre-selected units were classified by size: 25, 35, 45 and over 45 feet, to which was added a "displacement hull" category, without length criteria.
Silver Tiger DCz
In the category of units under 25 feet (8 m), the Silver Tiger DCz wins the vote. It was convincing because of its excellent seaworthiness and good value for money. With its high bulwarks and fully enclosed cockpit, it offers a lot of safety for the whole crew.
Beneteau Flyer 10
First of all, the boats selected in this category of less than 10 m must offer practical solutions, a nice finish and a good seaworthiness, whatever the conditions. The Flyer 10 has met all these requirements by providing solutions already seen on larger boats. It is a clever mix between a dayboat and a cruising boat.

Pardo 38
In the category of motorboats under 14 m in length, Cantiere del Pardo's entry-level boat, the Pardo 38, is the clear winner. It has superb handling qualities and a quality of construction resulting from a real know-how. It is the perfect full-size daycruiser.
Solaris Power 48 Open
In the category of boats up to 20 m, the Solaris Power 48 Open wins the title. With this second model, the sailboat manufacturer Solaris has really entered the motorboat market. Both the design and the quality of construction were admired, in addition to very good seaworthiness and a balanced ride. The extendable bulwarks were also very appealing.

Vedette Navigator 35
In the category of displacement hulls (trawler), the Vedette Navigator 35 wins the prize for the best European motorboat of the year 2020. The jury appreciated the modernity that this model brings to the classic steel yacht. The quality of materials and workmanship are also excellent.
