Gran Turismo 32, at the crossroads between a dayboat and an express cruiser

Bénéteau GT 36

Until now, Bénéteau's Gran Turismo range has focused on large sizes with four models from 40 to 50 feet. By launching two models of less than 40 feet, the Vendée manufacturer is offering two entry-level models, on the edge between the world of dayboat and express cruiser.

The Gran Turismo 32 takes over the entry-level position of the Express Cruiser range. It has the same deck layout as the Flyer 10, but with a large hardtop and a large window for optimal forward visibility and light. With its sporty silhouette, it offers a mix between open boat and comfortable cruiser.

On the foredeck, the semi walk around allows easy access to the three large sunbeds. The cockpit is well protected under the hard-top and allows for comfortable outdoor living. The cockpit on the starboard side has two bolster seats, complemented on the port side by a double bench seat. A layout that allows four people to enjoy the navigation facing the sea.

At the stern, the large U-shaped bench seat and its table offer a dining area or a large solarium. The galley on the starboard side has all the equipment necessary to prepare real meals: fridge, sink, double gas burners, storage and a small work surface.

Below deck, the Gran Turismo 32 offers two sleeping areas with double berths and a bathroom with shower separate from the toilet. A storage column is located at the bottom of the companionway.

With its Airstep hull and an engine that can go up to 600 HP, this 9.95 m long model (overall) should reach 35 knots. As an option, it can be equipped with a joystick, a zipwake system, a bow thruster, or two Garmin 12" screens. Finally, its owner can choose between an outboard or inboard engine.

The Gran Turismo 32 will be officially presented at Cannes this September and will be joined by the Gran Turismo 36 in spring 2020.
