Departure, arrival, here are the regattas and offshore races that took place this weekend from June 15 to 16, 2019.

Rolex Giraglia (June 7-15)

The finish line of the 2019 edition of the Rolex Giraglia was crossed this morning by George David's Maxi Rambler. The legendary Mediterranean race was not far from seeing its record broken. Indeed the American Maxi crossed the finish line in Monaco at 4:35 am this morning with a race time of 16 hours and 35 seconds, one hour close to the Esimit Europa 2 record in 2012.

Porquerolle's Classic 2019 (June 13-16)

The 17th edition of Porquerolle's Classic was held from June 13 to 16, 2019 in Hyères Bay. The 43 elegant traditional yachts competing competed in only the two 8.5 mile races on Saturday. On Friday, the E'ly wind was too strong and on Sunday, the wind was too light. A tour of the island was launched, only to be finally interrupted.

In the overall ranking, the winners in the three classes are Skylark of 1937 (Groupe Epoque Marconi), Sagittarius (Groupe Classique Marconi) and Eva (Groupe Epoque Aurique). The 18th edition of Porquerolle's Classic will be held in June 2019.

The Bol d'Or Mirabeau (June 14 to 16)

The 81st edition of the Bol d'Or Mirabeau will go down in history. The weather conditions encountered by the fleet will have oscillated between light winds towards Le Bouveret and a memorable storm on the way back to Geneva. These conditions were so violent that they put the race on hold for about ten minutes.

Ladycat powered by Spindrift wins the race for the 4th time, after 10 hours, 36 minutes and 21 seconds of racing. The Libera Raffica won the monohull category after 15 h 53' of racing, ahead of the Psaros 40 Marguerite Cashmere, helmed by François Bopp, and TBS by François Thorens.

Lorenz Kausche, aboard Moi Nor does he win among the 101 Surprises. In the Grand Surprise class, Bernard Borter's Little Nemo II, who is used to being placed in the Grand Surprise class, won after a lacklustre start.

Lionel Maret, skipper of the Modulo 93 Matière Grise, is the big winner of the Bol d'Or Mirabaud in compensated time (a coefficient that allows smaller sailboats to race against larger and faster boats).

Mini Fastnet (June 10 to 22)

The start of the 2019 Mini-Fastnet was given on Sunday June 16, 2019 after the Prologue in Douarnenez Bay covered the day before and won by Ambrogio Beccaria and Alberto Riva, on the 943. The brand new Mini hydrofoil aircraft, whose stated objective is to fly, was built by Structures according to Verdier's plans.

This edition also marks the return of Thomas Coville, co-skipper of Axel Tréhin, winner of the Trophée Marie-Agnès Péron last week on Tartine, on 945. Ian Linpinski and Benoit Hantzperg are joining forces on the 800 and they are not there to make up the numbers. Finally, still in the prototypes, Pascal Fievet will join François Jambou on the 865.

In the playoffs, Ambrogio Beccaria (943), with Alberto Riva, is ready to defend his title. They even widened their gap by 4 miles with their direct competitors, François Jambou and Pascal Fievet on the 865. About fifteen miles further on is a group of 4 prototypes, the 800, 900, 679 and 888.
