Ribitaly, known for its BWA RIBs, launched in December 2016, the BMA X199, a 5.80m open hull with a modern but simple design. The shipyard had already announced a larger model to come, the BMA X222, but it was not until the Nautic 2017 that the second and largest model of the range was discovered for the first time in France. Presentation.

The Paris Boat Show was an opportunity for Ribitaly to present the second and largest model in its BMA range, the X222. Like its little brother the X199, this 6.99 m long open hull is based on the same principle as the previous model: modern design, simple and clean deck layout, pronounced V-shaped hull..

"The BMA X222 is a versatile open hull, suitable for lazing around, fishing and water sports." describes one of the dealers.

Unlike the smaller model, entry to the boat is made easier by the port side backrest of the aft bench seat, which folds up. The right-hand cockpit bench seat houses a large storage locker and acts as a dining area with the removable table. The double cockpit bench seat tilts back quickly and easily to create a large saloon area. This clever system had already been discovered on the X199.

The centre console has enough space to accommodate all the necessary electronics. It's protected by a wrap-around windscreen and accommodates handrails for ease of movement on board or to hold on to while navigating. A bench seat with backrest is positioned at the front of the console and contains a technical box.

On the foredeck there are two deck layouts, available depending on the option chosen :

  • Touring Pack with a U-shaped bench seat at the bow that converts into a sunbathing area
  • Pack Sun with a fixed sunbathing area.

In the Touring version, there is a large storage box under the sundeck. The BMA X222 also has a windlass and two small lockers that allow access to the chain. On the X199, instead of the windlass, there was a cushion for sitting. An optional bimini protects the boat from the sun.

On board, the layout is simple, but complete and the finishes are elegant, with numerous glovebox-type storage compartments in the bulwarks, cup holders, backrests integrated into the hull structure, black handrails on the forward freeboards... Nevertheless, there are many options for customising your boat.

On the engine side, the BMA X222 receives 100 to 230 hp, but the recommended power output is 175 hp. The engine is moreover framed by two small bathing platforms with a ladder to go into the water on the port side.
