Exclusive / Bavaria unveils its new range of sailing yachts

Bavaria's new 45-footer C45

Bavaria will launch not one, but three new sails at Boot Düsseldorf (20 to 28 January 2018). After the launch of the C57 in 2017, the German shipyard will launch the C45, the C50 but also the C65 at the beginning of the year. François Renault, Head of Sales for France, tells us about this new range.

In January 2017, Bavaria launched at Boot Düsseldorf the C57, a 16.73 m sailboat halfway between large production and luxury yachts. In January 2018, the German shipyard will launch three new models - the C45 the C50 of 13.98 m and 15.55 m respectively. The yard will also launch the C65 ...flagship.

But to know the origin of the range, you have to go back to the Bavaria C65 This is the largest model (19.45 m) and also the very first model designed and which will also be on show in Düsseldorf. "The sailing range needed rejuvenation and our customers had expectations that we wanted to meet by launching a new range to rejuvenate our products." explains François Renault.

The C45

Thus, the German shipyard is concentrating on the design of the C65, the first model of the new range, and the largest sailboat ever built by the Bavarian shipyard. It will be presented for the first time next January alongside its little brothers. "The whole range has been declined from the C65, so we can find on board these new boats (NDRL: C45 and C50) equipment usually reserved for 60-footers such as a tender garage, a bathing platform, a cockpit kitchen or even many cabins (up to 5)" details François Renault.

The C50

Space on board and finishes are also available on the larger yacht, such as genoa furlers below deck or retractable cleats. The C45 and C50 will be distinguished by their deckhouse headlining and their 3 large hull portholes for a view of the sea from the saloon and cabins.

"This is a new era for Bavaria, as we are targeting both private individuals with models with more refined and luxurious finishes, but also the charter market by offering 5-cabin versions, especially in a 45-foot yacht. The C45 can accommodate 12 people on board, a big plus for charter!" says the sales manager.

The square of the C45

With the launch of these two new models to expand the C range, the German shipyard is clearly looking to change its brand positioning. "We want to become a reference in the sailing world by offering spacious boats, with lots of storage space, lots of equipment, and a lot of attention to detail, but still with a seafaring feel" concludes François Renault.
