On the 2017 Grand Pavois, Pacific Craft - powered and distributed by Yamaha - presented its new Open, the 27 RX, very inspired by its big brother the 30 RX. Discover this sporty model, designed for the search for sensations on the water.

"The 27 RX is a sporty boat with its stepped hull (Editor's note: there are two of them), very fast, with which we can reach 50 knots... We're trying to reproduce the sensations we feel on an offshore" explains Ronan Beleguic, Yamaha Boat Product Manager. The frame is laid back and indeed, its aggressive look similar to the 30 RX this 8m model is a little smaller than its big brother (9m) but has the same exterior lines. It is nevertheless wider at the bow for more comfort and better passage at sea.

On the rear, we find the large platform, very fashionable and which allows to use the rear "which was not used until then", thanks to the wide passage in front of the bowl. The hull has been designed for a double engine and receives 2x200 bhp as standard. "The objective is to make the most of the stern of the boat" explains Ronan.

On the foredeck there is a large sundeck, which converts into a solarium with the addition of a central element. "The two shelves are the newest addition to the 30 RX and will also fit on the larger model." details Ronan. There are large chests under the seats and a chest in the center.

The cab, which is installed at the front of the console, can optionally be fitted with a toilet and can be used as an additional sleeping area or for storage. To free up space on board, Pacific Craft has cleverly installed a sink and cooler and is currently working on adding a fridge and stove," explains the product manager.

At the helm console, there is a bench seat with backrest and a moveable sit/stand section. On each side, a folding seat provides additional seating. The table integrated in the leaning-post folds and unfolds to save living space on board as well and becomes a dining area in addition to the right rear bench seat, under which the technical room is located.

The walk-around deck makes it easy to move around on board and there are numerous handrails to make moving around and sailing safe. The high freeboards and the right transom confirm this feeling of safety by offering an almost closed cockpit.

The hull and upholstery colour is custom and it is also possible to opt for a "bi-tone" (different cushion and contour colour) to push the personalization of your boat.
