The dock, a floating pontoon for surfing

The dock is a floating pontoon developed by the surf brand Volcom and Stab magazine. A 30 m long and 500 kg platform, as dangerous as it is fun, which allows surfers to avoid rowing to catch waves. Discovery in video.

The "Dock" is a floating platform developed by Volcom in partnership with Stab magazine. Composed of plastic cubes inflated with air, this kind of launching ramp allows surfers to catch waves without having to row or avoid the moment of placement on the wave.

A small group of surfers, composed of Aaa Deane, Balaram Stack, Ozzie Wright, Mitch Coleborn, Yago Dora, and Imai Devault had the chance to test the platform in Bali, during a surfing session.

Even if it makes life easier, the Dock is no less dangerous since it weighs 500 kilos and is 30 m long. Indeed, the platform is unpredictable. Cables, ropes, waves or even the anchor are elements that can trigger accidents with surfers. "It just kills you if it hits you, doesn't it?" said Noa, one of the surfers.

Discovery in video of this floating pontoon that puts a little fun in the surf sessions.
