The Silver brand offers 12 dayboats from 4.85 m to 6.40 m, made of aluminium (AluFibre) and handmade in Finland, in the city of Ahtäri. In France, they are imported by Husson Marine, which had already taken the import of the boats 10 years ago, before stopping it, but only under the Honda engine. This brand created in the 90s was to be discovered for the first time at the Paris Boat Show.
Resistant and durable
"All the boats in the Silver range have an aluminium hull but with the comfort of an open hull. One thus finds the solidity of aluminium and all its advantages, without the disadvantages" explains Laurent Husson, the importer.
Their sandwich composition (2.5 cm of aluminium on each side with a polyurethane foam between the two) makes them unsinkable and light "It's the synthesis between the semi-rigid for weight and the habitable hull for habitability" explains Laurent.
Marine aluminium also offers many advantages such as shock resistance, robustness, low maintenance and UV resistance.
Silencer
The yard also relies on the silent aspect of the boats obtained by isolating the noises coming from the hull by suppressing the resonance thanks to the rubber liston connecting the hull and the deck to the closures of the adjustable trunks. The aluminium hull and the fibreglass interior module of the boats are insulated from each other and the waterproof polyurethane foam-filled side decks also reduce noise.
Clever
At the engine level, a medium power motor is sufficient to reach high speeds, because the boat is both light and equipped with a deep V hull "Finally, maintenance costs remain low since the aluminum hull requires virtually no maintenance." laurent explains.
Finally, one of the advantages of the mark is its important passenger homologation, made possible thanks to its unsinkability. Thus, the Eagle BR 640 (6.40 m) can embark 8 passengers.
The range is available in three models: bowrider (BR), eccentric console (Avant) and central console (CC). There are models for fishing or diving, like the Eagle CC 630, or for leisure or family sailing, like the Eagle BR 540.
