The World ShootOut - the world underwater photography contest - rewards each year the most beautiful photos, divided into 7 categories. It also awards the prize of the country having proposed the most beautiful photos. The ceremonies took place during the Dusseldorf Boot. Discovery of the winners and laureates 2015.

The World ShootOut is an underwater photography contest organized around the world. For this 2015 edition, 48 amateur and professional photographers from 37 different countries took part in this major world competition. To win numerous prizes, including the first prize worth $25,000 (23 083 €).

Producer David Pilosof launched the first World ShootOut contest in 2011. This great international competition was an unknown format until then. Every year, many photographers from around the world take part in the underwater photography contest and thousands of images are presented: from calm lakes in the Nordic countries and Canada, to exotic secrets hidden from Alaska to the great white shark in the Gulf of Mexico.

In addition to this individual competition, the underwater photographer also invites photographers from the same country to team up to present a series of 6 photos.

The Düsseldorf 2016 Boot hosted the two big ceremonies announcing the winners, on 29 and 30 January 2016. Discover the winners of the different categories, as well as the nominees.
