French Surfing Championship in Hossegor

Fifteen years after the last edition, the French surfing championships are back in Hossegor, from October 18th to 26th.

After two consecutive years in 1998 and 1999, the southern Landes resort had not hosted the championships. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Federation, the event returns to the mythical city of surfing for the organization of these French championships. This national event brings together an average of 450 competitors in a friendly and authentic atmosphere. During 9 days of competition, surfers from all over France will compete in the heart of a landscaped area, while maintaining the naturalness of the place. Falling ideally during the vacations of All Saints, the visitors can come numerous to attend the competition and enjoy the many animations. The spots of the South and Guardians in Hossegor, where the championship takes place are able to accommodate thousands of spectators.

The highlights of this competition

Friday, October 17th at 4 pm, reception of the delegations and confirmation of the registrations under the marquee of the 50 years.

Saturday, October 18th from 6 pm, official opening of the French Championships. Cocktail and speeches by Mr. Jean-Louis Bianco and Mr. Jean-Luc Arassus under the 50th anniversary marquee.

Monday, October 20th at noon, meal for the former presidents of the French Surfing Federation.

Friday, October 24th official evening of the 50th anniversary of the French Surfing Federation at the Casino of Hossegor.

Sunday, October 26th end of the French championships.
