In partnership with MDP Tech, Azimut has developed a new digital system designed to simplify the electrical and technical management of its yachts.
Called "Neuron", it was tested for over six months on a Fly 53. The shipyard plans to integrate it on its models up to 80 feet in the near future.
Home automation adapted to navigation
Presented on August 29, 2025 at Avigliana, "Neuron" is a centralized management platform. It enables remote control of several on-board functions, from an application or directly via the steering screen. Shipowners can control lighting, air conditioning and multimedia systems.
The system also offers technical monitoring: equipment diagnostics, malfunction alerts and the ability to limit maintenance interventions. According to Azimut, this approach can reduce ordinary and extraordinary maintenance operations by up to 70%.
A direct impact on maintenance and on-board volumes
In addition to controlling comfort functions, "Neuron" integrates an energy management logic and lighter wiring. The site claims that the weight of cables has been halved, freeing up technical space. Optimizing the electrical network also improves the overall reliability of the installation.
The system is designed as a "plug & play" system, facilitating rapid replacement of components such as control units. For shipowners, this means faster intervention in the event of a breakdown.
Towards a future range standard
After its test phase on an Azimut Fly 53, "Neuron" enters the final validation phase. It should eventually equip all Azimut models up to 80 feet.
