Saint Lucia, the island of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed pitons, captivates visitors with its spectacular scenery and unspoiled nature. Discover 6 ports of call to prioritize during your cruise of this Caribbean island state.

Saint Lucia, one of the Windward Islands, impresses with its spectacular scenery, dominated by the famous Pitons, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A true haven of nature, the island is also a privileged playground for yachtsmen, who find quiet anchorages and strategic moorings. Here is a presentation of 6 anchorages to choose from for a yachting stopover.

Anse des Pitons

L'Anse des Pitons is without doubt one of the island's most remarkable anchorages. Situated between Saint Lucia's two majestic pitons, this bay offers a breathtaking view of the volcanic landscape. Protected from the wind and waves, it guarantees a calm and pleasant stopover. It's also a privileged site for diving and hiking, with the possibility of discovering trails leading to the Pitons' peaks. A place that combines relaxation and exploration.

Rodney Bay

Rodney Bay, to the north of Saint Lucia, is another popular anchorage. Well protected from the trade winds, it offers a multitude of nearby services, with its marina, restaurants and festive atmosphere. The entrance to the channel leading to the marina is marked by two posts, which must be left on either side of the boat. Don't be fooled by the colors: the green has turned rusty red and the red has turned dirty green. The depth in the channel is around 3 meters. Rodney Bay is also an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area, whether exploring the coastline or venturing into the local markets to sample Creole specialities.

Soufriere Bay

Soufriere Bay, at the foot of the Soufrière volcano, is another of Saint Lucia's must-see ports of call. The anchorage here is exceptional, with deep, clear waters. Visitors can also explore the surrounding hot springs and tropical gardens, or head to the famous black-sand beach of Sulphur Springs: singular places where nature takes on its full meaning.
