The Louis Vuitton Cup
From August 29 to October 7, the Louis Vuitton Cup, also known as the Challenger Selection Series, takes place, a crucial stage in determining the team that will face the New Zealand crew, Defender of the 37th America's Cup in Barcelona. The competition comprises a Round Robin phase followed by a Final phase, adapting the number of rounds of the Round Robin to the competitors and the time available. The two winning teams in this phase will advance to the Final, where the winner of the LV Cup will be designated as the challenger to the New Zealand team.
The Youth America's Cup
From September 10 to 26, the Youth America's Cup will take place, beginning with six days of training before the fleet races starting on September 17. Twelve teams are taking part, including invitations and teams from the 37th Louis Vuitton America's Cup. Each group will compete in eight qualifying races, with the top three teams advancing to the Final Series, comprising four races to determine the top two teams. The final is scheduled for September 26, with a final head-to-head race to decide the winner.
Puig Women's America's Cup
From September 28 to October 13, the Puig Women's America's Cup takes place, starting after the Youth America's Cup and reserved for women. It begins with a briefing on September 28, followed by training sessions until October 3. Racing begins on October 5, with invited and America's Cup teams divided into two groups. The semi-final comprises four fleet races, qualifying the top three boats in each group for the Final on October 13, concluding with a head-to-head race between the top two teams.
The Grand Final of the 37th America's Cup 2024
From October 12 to 27, the grand finale of the 37th America's Cup 2024 takes place. The Defender, Emirates Team New Zealand, takes on the winner of the Louis Vuitton Cup in a series of 13 races. Each race is a direct duel where the winner gets one point, and the loser, none. The first team to reach seven points wins the 37th America's Cup and becomes the Defender for the 38th edition.
