Davy & Ørsted presents the D&Ø houseboats, designed by Studio Piet Boon, embodying Dutch design excellence. These boats offer a luxurious and innovative living experience on the water, combining functionality, comfort and durability.

In May 2024, Davy & Ørsted announced the launch of its new D&Ø houseboats, an ambitious project combining contemporary design and technical innovation. Designed by the renowned Studio Piet Boon, these houseboats represent a new era in aquatic living, offering an exceptional living experience on the water.

Elegant, functional design

Davy & Ørsted has collaborated with Studio Piet Boon to create houseboats where elegance meets functionality. According to Piet Boon, founder of Studio Piet Boon, " Every design bears our signature love of quality, elegance and innovation. Every detail contributes to a sublimated living experience. "D&Ø houseboats are distinguished by their soft lines and thoughtful proportions, creating a harmonious and serene environment on the water.

Models for every need

Davy & Ørsted offers three main models: Comfort 65, Elegance 65 and Prestige 100. The Comfort 65, with its 65 square meters, offers spacious living space, a luxury kitchen and the option of one or two bedrooms. Convertible sliding doors transform the living space into an inviting terrace, merging interior comfort with exterior beauty.

The Elegance 65 takes the features of the Comfort 65 and adds an elegant covered roof terrace. Sliding wall panels create a luxurious, private living space, protected from the elements. Finally, the 100-square-meter Prestige 100 comfortably accommodates 4 to 6 guests, with two or three bedrooms. The upper deck offers a luxurious master bedroom with panoramic views, a sauna and a lounge area for unforgettable moments under the open sky.

A sustainable and innovative approach

D&Ø houseboats are designed to be ecologically responsible. Powered by solar-powered electric motors, these boats are made from recycled materials and incorporate self-contained water systems. Tim Klijn, founder and head of product development at D&Ø Houseboats, explains: " By using recycled aluminum, we pay tribute to the pioneers of aluminum, Sir Humphry Davy and Hans Christian Ørsted, while prioritizing sustainability. "

These houseboats don't just offer accommodation; they offer an exceptional escape, connecting occupants to the serene beauty of nature. Theo Pauw, founder and marketing director of D&Ø Houseboats, comments: " Designed for leisure, telecommuting or everyday life, our houseboats promise an unrivalled experience where the freedom of the water meets the comfort of home. "

Technology and ease of navigation

All models feature a joystick control system, revolutionizing the houseboating experience with precise, intuitive navigation for easy maneuvering, even in tight spaces. This innovation guarantees easy and safe handling, giving users total confidence on the water.

Towards a promising aquatic future

D&Ø houseboats embody a futuristic vision of aquatic living, combining design, comfort and sustainability. By responding to the growing need for flexible, environmentally-friendly living, Davy & Ørsted is opening up new horizons for lovers of life on the water.
