Here's a summary of the regattas and offshore races for the week of July 22-28, 2023. On the program: victories, new partners and an aborted record attempt

SVR Lazartigue wins the Fastnet, beating the event record

In very rough conditions, the Ultim SVR Lazartigue won the legendary English race. In the IMOCA class, it was the crew of the very recent Macif, led by Charlie Dalin, who won. In Ocean Fifty, Luke Berry, assisted by Antoine Joubert aboard Le Rire Médecin-Lamotte, won, while in Class40, the crew of Everial came out on top. In the IRC, Botin 52 Caro won all classes.

An 8 e place for Team France on the American leg of the Sail GP

The crew led by Quentin Delapierre finished in 8th place e place in the Los Angeles leg of the Sail GP circuit. The French will be keen to make up for lost time on the next leg, to be held in Saint Tropez from September 9 to 10, 2023.

A new IMOCA for Sébastien Simon
