Classics at the rendezvous

The circuit remains faithful to its great classics, which captivate the general public every year. This autumn, the fleet will be in Le Havre for the start of the double-handed Transat Café L'Or âeuros Le Havre Normandie. Visitors will be able to admire the giants of the seas in the Bassin de l'Eure and visit the Ultim Pavilion dedicated to them before they set off in a sprint towards Martinique. The other major transatlantic race is of course the Route du Rhum âeuros Destination Guadeloupe, which will set sail from Saint-Malo in 2026. Sailed solo, this race is a monument that every sailor dreams of adding to his or her record of achievements. Since its first edition in 1978, it has been a grail whose history is closely linked to that of the great multihulls. âeuros
The Mediterranean, the new Ultim playground

The Ultim Class returns to the Mediterranean in 2026. Back in 2024, the giant trimarans were honored in Antibes during the Finistère Atlantique race. This sporting and popular success paved the way for a more ambitious race: the Odyssée Ultim. This race offers a unique route, following in the footsteps of the heroes of Greek mythology, adding a historical and cultural dimension to the sporting program. It will be presented to the media, in the presence of the skippers, on June 10 in Antibes. âeuros
A project in the North Sea

In the north of France, another project is under study: the Course des Caps, starting from Boulogne-sur-Mer. After a first edition open to monohulls this year, the Ultims could be heading for the high latitudes in 2027. âeuros
A rich calendar for a maximum number of competitions
In addition to these not-to-be-missed events, the Ultims seize every opportunity to race, as competition remains the best form of preparation. The ArMen Race and the Tour de Belle-Ãle will welcome a number of Ultims. This will be an opportunity for the other participants, both enthusiasts and amateurs, to tack alongside the giants of the seas before the race kicks off. Every two years, the Rolex Fastnet Race is also a great moment of sharing. The Ultims are the flagship of a fleet of over 500 boats, launched between Cowes (Isle of Wight) and Cherbourg-en-Cotentin. They complete the 600-mile course after just one night at sea, whereas the less-lively boats can spend a week racing. Finally, this year, the Ultims will have the opportunity to meet up again in a port they know well: Lorient. They will once again meet there in the autumn for the 24H Ultim, a double-handed sprint ideal for preparing for the big autumn races.âeuros
Hunger for records
This dense and varied program also leaves plenty of room for solo and crewed record attempts. The giant trimarans will be able to attempt to beat the various reference times in the Mediterranean, Atlantic or even around the world. Winter in France, or the austral summer, remains the ideal time to take on the most coveted of them all: the Jules Verne Trophy.âeuros
