A design inspired by the sailing experience
In the manner of X-Yachts or Grand Soleil, it is a new sailboat shipyard that has decided to enter the powerboat segment. Italia Yachts, known for its racy cruiser-racing yachts, presented the IY 43 Veloce in February 2023. The design of the hard-top yacht is inspired by the shipyardâ??s sailing experience, with significant work on hull stability, for seaworthiness in all conditions. The construction, in fiberglass and polyester or vinylester resin depending on the parts, is made in vacuum infusion with a foam core.
The stylized hull of 14 m overall and 12.5 m in length reflects modernity, while the hard-top in the extension of the windshield provides the necessary shade. The hull is marked at the bow by a high, flared bow to ensure safety on board and keep the deck dry.
A modular cockpit with many seats
On deck, the cockpit is modular, with a large sunbathing area for 3 people, two facing benches with removable backrests and a central table that can be transformed into a sunbathing area. The sundeck facing the sea can also be transformed into a second saloon with a central coffee table.
At the stern, the removable bulwarks increase the space to become a swimming platform. At the bow, a smaller sunbathing area is accessible from the side walkways with steps. A large outdoor kitchen and a two-person helm station complete the main deck layout.
Three types of interior configuration
Inside, there are two cabins with a modern design and plenty of headroom. Three types of configuration are offered:
- One double bed in the front and two single beds in the rear cabin,
- Two double beds,
- A full-width owner's cabin in the rear and a U-shaped saloon in the front.
The front point houses a double bed with a toilet with a separate shower. At the rear, the mid-cabin offers two single beds. The design is just as modern as on the outside and the headroom appears to be significant.
Inboard or outboard version
The IT 43 Veloce will be offered in both inboard and outboard versions. In the first configuration, two 370 horsepower Volvos with sterndrive are installed as standard. As an option, the boat is offered in IPS with 2x440 hp or 2x480 hp. In the outboard version, 3x300 horses are positioned on the transom.
