Boating license / What does a prolonged beeping sound tell me in foggy weather?

I sail to the approach of the port and no luck, the fog does not lift. I hear a horn emit a long and unique signal. Tuuuuuut! It tells me that the boat is going to stay on the right? Answer A. That it is coming on the left? Answer B. That he is indicating his presence to me? Answer C.

Sound signals in reduced visibility

In navigation, sound signals are not the same depending on whether they are used in visibility or not. In reduced visibility, during the day with fog or at night, sound signals indicate the presence of vessels, their status depending on whether they are manoeuvring or not, but do not give any indication of their manoeuvre. Vessels less than 12 meters in length are not required to sound these signals.

Vessel with wander

A mechanically propelled motor vessel with headway must make a long, prolonged sound at intervals of not more than 2 minutes, according to the International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea or RIPAM. It thus signals its presence, and the fact that it is moving forward. But this does not mean whether it is coming to the right or the left. You must therefore pay extra attention to avoid the encounter, according to answer C.
