A hull length that avoids taxes
The Quicksilver 805 Open is the largest model in the Open range, with an overall length of 7.30 meters. It has a new deck plan and a new hull, whose length of 6.99 m exempts it from the francisation tax. Like the rest of the Activ range, it is wide at the front to increase cabin space. The product manager has also worked hard on the design to create tighter lines. The cockpit has gained in depth and the console seat at the front has been designed to offer maximum volume in a cabin on this size of boat. Approved in category C, it can accommodate up to 10 people.
A well-equipped cockpit with a cabin for resting
The bathing platforms can be equipped with extensions to facilitate swimming. Access to the cockpit is from the skirts, thanks to the removable side backrests of the bench seat or simply by stepping over it. Two folding side benches complete the seating arrangement, which, when combined with the cockpit table with a cushion, provide a large sunbathing area. The storage locker under the bench seat can be used to store the table and its base. Opposite, depending on the packs and options chosen, you can have a livewell, as on the model shown with the Fishing Pack or a kitchen kit with sink, stove, refrigerator and shower.
The movement on board is done via the gangways, somewhat narrow, protected by a nice height of bulwarks. The latter are equipped with new rectangular handrails. The cockpit has a console protected by a very large windscreen. Two newly designed seats, adjustable in depth and with a flip-up seat, are positioned under the optional T-Top. The console houses a sleeping area for two people, which is best reserved for children or for storage. It will nevertheless allow you to change under cover. A clever trick is the chemical toilet positioned on a rail that can be stored under the floor to free up space.
The foredeck has a large seat on the console and a bow seat with backrests. This one covers another nice size storage box. The bow can easily be transformed into a sunbathing area by unfolding the extension hidden under the console cushion. There is also a storage compartment for the front cockpit table.
Several packs to customize your boat
The Activ 805 Open can be customized with several packs such as the Smart Edition for comfort and relaxation, the Fishing Pack or two electronic packs. Several options are also available.
Regarding the engine, this model can receive a Mercury outboard engine from 175 to 300 horsepower. Presented with a 225 horsepower, it is thus exempted from the francisation tax.
