Collaboration between boating and automotive
Initiated in 2021, the collaboration between the Spanish De Antonio and Cupra gave birth to the D28 Formentor, inspired by the first model designed for the car company, the Cupra Formentor. This limited edition, in the colors of the car, received a Mercury outboard engine with a power of 400 hp for a maximum speed of 40 knots. As a reminder, De Antonio has made it a trademark to integrate outboard engines into a block to reduce noise and vibration.

A hybrid version to limit emissions
At the beginning of summer 2022, the two players are unveiling a hybrid version of this 8.48 m long open hull. The model now incorporates, in addition, two retractable 15 kW electric motors developed by BlueNav. The boat can thus navigate in a hybrid way or in full electric, without emission. According to the manufacturer, the fleet of up to 6 batteries gives it a range of 12 miles, with about two hours of navigation at a cruising speed of 6 knots and a top speed of 8 knots.
The electric motorization will be sufficient for coastal navigation, entering and leaving ports or navigating in protected areas. The thermal engine will take over for longer distances or emergencies, with a range of nearly 200 miles.
on board, the layout remains the same with a walkaround deck plan, a sunbathing area for 3 people at the stern, a saloon facing each other, where the front bench seat can be used as a pilot seat for 3 people by moving the backrest and a saloon at the bow.
