A new brand of hybrid superyachts
GX Superyachts officially launched its new range at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024, offering aluminum superyachts from 24 to 56 meters. Developed by the hybrid powerboat experts at Greenline Yachts, this brand aims to combine technological innovation with respect for the environment.
The shipyard behind GX Superyachts, Greenline Yachts, has been renowned for its hybrid-powered boats under 18 meters for over 15 years. GX Superyachts now wants to transfer this expertise to the superyacht segment. The first model under construction, the GX42, is a 42-meter yacht, scheduled for delivery in summer 2026.

Hybrid propulsion to reduce emissions
GX Superyachts focuses on environmental efficiency. All the yachts in the range are equipped with hybrid propulsion systems that enable navigation in electric or diesel mode. In electric mode, the yachts can reach a range of up to 100 nautical miles at a speed of 6 knots. In diesel mode, they can cross the Atlantic at 12 knots. This type of propulsion, combined with solar panels, reduces carbon emissions by 60% compared to traditional yachts, according to the shipyard's management.
To power the hybrid propulsion, GX Superyachts are equipped with solar panels integrated into the structure of the boat itself, enabling them to charge the batteries that power the on-board systems. This configuration enables the yachts to remain at anchor silently for up to 48 hours, thanks to power from the batteries without the need for a generator.

A variety of design options
The GX Superyachts range offers two main configurations for each model: Coupé or Raised Pilot House (RPH). The Coupé model features sliding solar panels to reveal a vast sun-deck. The RPH version, on the other hand, offers a spacious, modern flybridge, providing greater usable surface area. Each model also features a large hydraulic platform and a beach club with folding side platforms.
The yachts' interiors were designed by renowned designer Marco Casali, who also worked on the exteriors. His approach aims to maximize interior space while creating harmony between the yacht's different areas. The yachts feature high-end finishes, with furniture from specialist brands such as Poltrona Frau and natural materials such as wood and leather.

The GX42 under construction
The first model in the range, the GX42, is currently under construction at SES Yachts, a specialist aluminum yacht builder based in Tuzla, Turkey. The keel-laying ceremony took place in June 2024, and delivery is scheduled for summer 2026. SES Yachts was chosen for its expertise in building custom yachts, a crucial choice for such an ambitious project.
This first model embodies the GX Superyachts vision: a combination of energy efficiency, innovative design and understated luxury. Although the GX42 is still in the construction phase, the yard is making rapid progress, with over 50% of the hull already assembled.

A project to keep an eye on
GX Superyachts aims to redefine the superyacht market by integrating environmentally-friendly solutions, while meeting owners' expectations for luxury and performance. The GX42 will be delivered in 2026, and further models are expected in the coming years.
With this new brand, Greenline Yachts is committed to offering more sustainable solutions in the world of yachting, a sector where demand for eco-friendly alternatives continues to grow.
