A carefully constructed Lombard plan
The Neel 52 is the new trimaran in the shipyard's sailing range and will be presented in September 2023. It is designed by the Lombard firm, already responsible for the Neel 47 and 43. The multihull has voluminous floats with taut lines and a central rockered hull. It is built in vacuum-molded composite sandwich, with triaxial fiber reinforcements and PVC and PET foams for the core. Approved in category A, it can accommodate up to 12 people on board and has a load capacity of 19.5 tons.

Several types of rigging
Its unique rudder is operated by textile lines on ball-bearing blocks. The sail plan consists of a mainsail with a horn and a furling system, with a structural cable integrated into the sail. An asymmetric spinnaker is available as an option. Two types of rigs are available with a difference in height of 70 cm, the performance rig being higher:
- Classic with aluminum mast and boom, stainless steel standing rigging
- Performance with carbon mast and aluminum boom, textile standing rigging, except the forestay.
All the maneuvers are brought back to the helmsman, to sail in reduced crew. The skipper has a 360° view from the raised helm station, equipped with a triple seat. Access to the roof is from the cockpit via side steps and on the side of the helm station, where there is a sundeck.

6, 5 or 4 cabins
The layout features what Neel calls the "cockloon", which is the interior and exterior living space with a wide opening between the cockpit, with its many seats, and the saloon. The galley and chart table are located forward. On the main deck, several layouts are possible, either a large saloon with a 360° view, or an owner's cabin on the same level. In the hulls too, several versions are proposed, from 4 to 6 double cabins with private companionways, and the possibility of adding two crew cabins on the rear as an option. With these different configurations, the Neel 52 lends itself equally well to long family trips, as to chartering.
