Grand Soleil Blue, the "green" sailboat redefining the standards of sustainable sailing

Grand Soleil Yachts presents the Grand Soleil Blue, an innovative, environmentally-friendly sailing yacht to be unveiled at Boot Düsseldorf 2025. This 10-meter model combines performance, elegance and durability, redefining the expectations of yachts enthusiasts.

A revelation expected at Boot Düsseldorf 2025

Grand Soleil Yachts, a yacht builder for over 50 years, plans to make its mark at Boot Düsseldorf 2025. From January 18 to 26, the Italian manufacturer will present the world premiere of the Grand Soleil Blue, a yacht designed to combine a passion for the sea with respect for the environment. According to Gigi Servidati, President of Cantiere del Pardo, "GS Blue demonstrates that design, performance and durability can coexist in harmony".

Design for sustainability

The Grand Soleil Blue breaks new ground in sustainable shipbuilding. Built from thermoplastic resin, an innovative material developed by NL Comp, this yacht offers a concrete solution to the problem of end-of-life recycling. Unlike traditional thermosetting resins, thermoplastic resin enables glass and carbon fibers to be separated and reused.

In addition, the model incorporates a design for disassembly. Inspired by the automotive industry, this concept facilitates the recycling of components at the end of their life cycle.

Electric propulsion and renewable energy

The Grand Soleil Blue is equipped with a 6 kW electric motor with direct Pod Drive transmission, a compact and silent system that guarantees zero-emission sailing. Powered by an 8 kW LiFePO4 lithium battery, the yacht has a range of 30 nautical miles at around 5 knots on a full charge.

The installation of solar panels on the deck ensures renewable energy autonomy. These 340 W panels, manufactured by Solbian, recharge the engine battery and power on-board services, guaranteeing optimum energy efficiency.

Thermoplastic sails for sustainable sailing

The sails of the Grand Soleil Blue, designed by OneSails, are made from innovative thermoplastic materials. These 4T Forte sails are the first in the world to be fully recyclable, meeting the highest environmental standards. Their assembly process excludes traditional glues and solvents, replaced by hot-melt technology.

A yacht thought through to the last detail

With a length of 10 meters, the Grand Soleil Blue can accommodate up to four people for a comfortable weekend at sea. Every element of this yacht has been designed to minimize its environmental impact. At the end of its life cycle, the boat is entirely recyclable, illustrating Cantiere del Pardo's commitment to sustainable sailing.
