VanDutch 56, the first luxury dayboat in the range powered by IPS

VanDutch introduces its latest model, the VanDutch56, a 17-meter-long luxury dayboat with a dedicated comfort layout. It is the first model in the range to feature IPS propulsion to optimize the driving experience.

A construction made in Italy

The Van Dutch brand, which now belongs to the Italian shipyard Cantiere Del Pardo, has just launched the 4th model in its range, the VanDutch 56. This large 56-foot cabin-cruiser is between the 48 and 75 feet. It is also the 2nd model after the VanDutch 32 designed and built in Italy by the shipyard in Forli, based on a design by Muller Design.

A luxury dayboat

Elegant, it retains the classic yet contemporary look that characterizes the range, with its large decked foredeck, wraparound tinted windshield and open deck plan. Comfort is the watchword of this large luxury dayboat with a large deck space dedicated to lounging and outdoor living. A total of 12 people can board the VD 56, offering generous dimensions: 16.77 m x 4.52 m.

An open and protected deck plan

At the rear, the backrests of the huge central solarium are adjustable to choose the desired relaxation solution. A large aft platform transforms into a terrace on the sea and lowers for easy access to the sea. The central cockpit is accessible from two side decks. Built-in, it offers a space protected by the height of the bulwark and the wide gunwales that allow you to move to the front deck by standing on the windshield pillars. The windshield, very enveloping and of a good height, protects the pilot as well as the passengers, comfortably installed in the two L-shaped side benches, completed with a central table equipped with cup holders.

On the starboard side, a bar with a refrigerator allows you to prepare some quick snacks. On the port side, the cockpit is equipped with a double bench seat with backrest and a dashboard with Garmin touchscreen instrumentation via two 16-inch screens. These screens also allow you to manage all the boat's home automation systems: lighting programming, audio system, air conditioning, etc

Quality of finish and customization

Great care has been taken with the layout and finishing touches, with the installation of a latest generation audio system and discreet deck lighting to prolong evenings at anchor. For more customization, a wide choice of fabrics and colors or hull colors is offered by the shipyard.

Two types of interior design

To complete the layout, there is an interior space for resting or refreshing. Despite its size, the VD 56 will be used mainly as a daycruiser. Thus, two types of layouts are proposed. A "lounge" version offering an open cabin with a U-shaped bench seat and a central table on the bow, a side kitchen opposite a bench seat and a separate bathroom with toilet and shower. For clients seeking privacy, the U-shaped saloon is replaced by a double cabin in the "cabin" version. It is also possible to install a second cabin with two single beds.

The first model in IPS

As far as propulsion is concerned, the VD 56 is the first model in the range to receive IPS. In addition to the performance and fuel consumption aspects, this propulsion should make driving more fluid. The standard configuration is two Volvo IPS 800 engines (625 hp), with the option of increasing power to 2x725 hp (IPS 900).
