GranTurismo 12.5 and 11.0, new deck plans for speed and cruising

The latest two models in Lomac's GranTurismo lineup - the 11.0 and 12.5 - feature new, larger deck layouts to provide more comfort for long weekends at sea. But they don't lose their sporty performance. Find out more.

Decked front decks

At the Cannes Yachting Festival, the Italian shipyard Lomac launched two new models in its GranTurismo range, bringing the number of GT RIBs to six. A productive year for the manufacturer, after the launch of a range dedicated to fishing .

The GranTurismo 11.0 and 12.5 retain the sporty DNA and driving pleasure of the range, but now have a fully decked foredeck, offering up to 30 percent more living space. These two models no longer have the walkaround deck plan found on their smaller brothers, the 10.5 and 12.0. Their floats are made of hypalon and the quality of finish and materials used on board are very good.

Farniente and comfort for the GranTurismo 12.5

The GranTurismo 12.5 inherits the developments of the 12.0, especially in terms of hull design. It features an imposing sundeck at the rear with a central passageway for access to the boat, topping a hydraulically opening trunk. The latter could also accommodate an inboard motorization, as is the case for the smaller model, even if for the moment it is the outboard version that has been launched.

The cockpit is well protected by a large polyester reinforcement that runs from the back to the front of the floats where it becomes a gangway for moving around the bow, which again was not the case on the walkaround models. The comfortable U-shaped bench seat has a second storage compartment in the back. The electrically retractable rear table (option at 4,615 euros) is an integral part of the floor once in the lowered position for a totally flush deck.

A kitchen cabinet is directly accessible from the cockpit, without having to lift the pilot seats to access it. There is a sink, a cutting board and a refrigerator. The latter also serves as a support for the hard-top posts. In the front, the seating has been modified with two independent seats instead of one bench. The console retains the aggressive design of the range, but is now equipped with two windows instead of one. It also gains in volume to accommodate a larger interior cabin.

This one offers a nice double bed with a good headroom and a separate bathroom with sink. An ideal configuration for weekends, or even short cruises. Finally, the front deck is reserved for a full sunbathing area, easily accessible from the wide gangways.

Comfortable day cruising and more for the GranTurismo 11.0

The GranTurismo 11.0 has the same deck layout as its big brother, right down to the steering console. The galley is also present, but smaller to fit the size of the boat. It too houses a generous, light-filled cabin and a toilet.

It is on the back of the cockpit that it differs, since it accommodates only a U-shaped bench seat with the same table system. There is no large trunk covered with a sunbathing area. A configuration which authorizes him besides a purely outboard motorization, of a maximum power of 2x350 HP.
