High-flying encounter between the Maxi Edmond de Rotschild and foil kitesurfers

To celebrate the 4th anniversary of the launch of the Maxi Edmond de Rothschild, the Gitana team and the production company Polaryse have organized an incredible high-flying meeting between the Ultim and the kitesurfers of the Lorient Glisse&Foil association. To be discovered in a 3-minute film with breathtaking images! And for the more curious, the making-of, even more incredible!

The Maxi Edmond de Rothschild, pioneer of a new generation of trimarans, was launched on July 17, 2017. To celebrate her 4th birthday, the Gitana team made an incredible video in collaboration with Yann Riou, co-founder of the production company Polaryse and mediaman for the team.

Charles Caudrelier and Franck Cammas at the helm enjoyed incredible speed runs with kitesurfers from the Lorient Glisse&Foil association. Giant of the seas perched on its foils against flying human beings, the images are just incredible!

Shot off Lorient, between the peninsula of Gâvres and the island of Groix, the kitesurfers are making runs, jumps and are even towed by the Ultim at nearly 37/38 knots! Magical! Splendid! Crazy!

In total, it took 5 drones, 7 cameras and 10 GoPro to make this video. You can watch the 3 minutes version and for the greedy ones, I advise you to watch the 8 minutes making-of, which allows you to live the scene more closely.
