New multihulls for 2021/22, what's in store for the coming season

The year 2021 marks the return of the boat shows. Shipyards and boaters alike are eager to meet up. Here are the new multihulls that you will be able to discover at these back-to-school shows.

The autumn boat shows always mark the beginning of the commercial season. The shipyards exhibit the boats that will be sold from the following spring. It is always the occasion to renew the ranges and to present the novelties to the boaters. These shows are therefore eagerly awaited. Even more so this year, 2021, when they are back after an absence of two years. Whether in Cannes at the beginning of September or in La Rochelle at the end of September, visitors will be able to discover the next sailing boats.

We have gathered here the novelties announced by the manufacturers in the multihull category. We present them to you briefly while waiting to visit them for you in the shows and to come back to them in more detail.

Astus 22.5 - 8.30 m

Still designed by VPLP, the Astus 22.5 offers a high-performance, foldable and transportable sailboat. While the layout is more spacious, this yacht takes the place of the 22 and 24 in the range. Its large floats allow it to carry more canvas. The first example of this trimaran is sailing. It will be visible at the Grand Pavois.

Aventura 37 Charter - 10,90 m

At the request of day charter professionals, who are always looking for a spacious, easy-to-use and affordable catamaran, Aventura is launching a day charter version of its Aventura 37. This version has most of the same aft cockpit as the cruiser version, with the helm station placed high up and the roof/sunbathing area, but the saloon/kitchen windows have been removed and replaced by a set of mini-salons and a forward cockpit, all on the same level. Thus, between 20 and 28 people will be able to enjoy an Open, protected by a huge rigid bimini, but also take advantage of the sunbathing on the roof or the trampoline.

Neel 43 - 12.90 m

The Neel 43 is the smallest model in the range. It comes with the same design as the Evolution series. It has a saloon on the port side that extends into the cockpit. The owner's cockpit, on the starboard platform, offers an incredible view of the water. A boat designed for a family with a taste for the open sea.

Nautitech 44 Open - 13.30 m

With the 40 Open, Nautitech innovated by creating a catamaran with no distinction between the interior and exterior fittings. The new 44 Open takes up the concept, gaining one meter in the process. This yacht retains its bars at the rear of the floats to avoid flying and its considerable dunnage. Still designed by Marc Lombard, this yacht is intended for owners wishing to take to the open sea for a long voyage.

Tanna 47 - 13.94 m

Built on the hulls of the Saona 47, the Tanna is modernizing its layout. This Racoupeau plan revises the interior organization for more storage and more space. This change of name is not a revolution, but a more suitable offer for the core market of these catamarans. Unfortunately, the balance takes a hit with 1 extra ton..

Windelo 50 - 15.24 m

Innovation remains the key word for this newcomer to the world of multihulls. Indeed, in addition to its surprising layout with the helm stations in front of the deckhouse, this sailboat is eco-constructed in basalt fiber with a foam sandwich core made from recycled plastic bottles. Moreover, this unit is propelled by an electric motorization whose batteries are charged by 3000 W of solar panels and the possibility of regenerating in sailing. A unit not to be missed to discover at the beginning of the school year.

Sunreef 70 - 21.40 m

The Sunreef 70 follows the design of the Polish shipyard's new range of sailing catamarans by offering a surprisingly large living space (287 m2 living space...). Like the rest of the range, the layout is custom-made with the possibility of accommodating 6 guest cabins in addition to the crew.

Gunboat 72V - 22,00 m

Turning point! If Gunboat remains in the category of high-end and fast boats, this time the design tends towards more comfort and less performance. Indeed, this GunBoat 72V has gained weight (more than 10 tons VS the 68...). Also in terms of image, this catamaran announces the color with a fly on which all maneuvers are reflected. No more position at the front of the deckhouse and maneuvers at the foot of the mast. Everything is evolving..
