Modern and sporty lines
The Italian manufacturer Pershing (Ferretti Group) has unveiled the first visuals of its new yacht, the Pershing 6X. This model completes the X range, already composed of the 5, 7, 8 and 9X, and has the modern and sporty lines of the other models, as well as the large central hull window of the two smaller models. This one has been further increased to give the sensation of having real windows.
At 18.94 m (approximately 62 feet) long and 4.80 m wide, the Pershing 6X was designed by the Ferretti Group and the Fulvio De Simoni design firm.
A new style
The main new features include styling improvements to provide even greater functionality and comfort. New design for the large aft sundeck, carbon and teak table in the cockpit dining area and sofa and second forward sundeck with reclining back.
A huge cockpit
On the main deck, the most striking new feature is the helm station, consisting of a carbon fiber dashboard with two 19-inch screens and an electrohydraulic system. A joystick allows easy control of the surface propellers and facilitates port and anchor maneuvers. A large sunroof opens above the dashboard for good ventilation.
Several design versions
The first unit has a three-cabin layout - owner, forward VIP and starboard guest - with three bathrooms with separate shower. The guest bathroom is accessible from both the cabin and the corridor directly from the main deck, and serves as a daytime toilet.
To port is the galley, which benefits from various sources of natural light, including a deck hatch. The US market version has two cabins - owner and VIP - with a living area replacing the guest cabin.
Both versions have a crew cabin accessible directly from the cockpit, with a single bed and a bathroom.
Careful finishing
For the interior materials, the yard used wood and lacquer for the furniture, parquet and leather, and mirrored panels in the owner's cabin. The lighting system consists of new horizontal LED bars integrated directly into the roof.
A fast yacht
The Pershing 6X has a top speed of nearly 48 knots and a cruising speed of 42 knots thanks to its two MAN V12 1550 HP engines.
