Web series / Nomad Citizen Sailing : Discovery of the city of Gibraltar

In this new episode of Nomad Citizen Sailing shot before Daniela's confinement, Marvin and baby Tara are on a stopover in Gibraltar. And their plans aren't going to go according to plan

Before the passage of the Strait of Gibraltar, Daniela, Marvin and their 18-month-old baby, Tara, are on a stopover in this city located on the southern coast of Spain, which therefore has a Spanish and a British side.

While the first day is dedicated to repairing the autopilot, which gave them some good scares while sailing, the couple also takes advantage of the opportunity to test their staysail - a sail that will only be used in big conditions. To improve their boat and make it more "beautiful", Daniela is also optimising the cockpit stowage to be able to store the spinnaker.

However, life also takes place on land and the family takes the opportunity to discover the town, which was ceded to the English in 1704. They walk along the Spanish side and visit the ruins of Fort Sainte Barbara. But above all they devote themselves to their favourite activity, sport, by hanging rings from a tree.

The next day, their objective is "the Rock", a 426 m high limestone ridge that dominates the city. Unfortunately, the cable car is closed and it is impossible to access it. Far from being discouraged, the couple set themselves a new objective, to discover the southernmost point of Europe, Europa Point.

On foot, with Baby Tara's stroller, it's a long-distance excursion that awaits them, but it will be worth the detour
