A competitive standard rate
With a base price of 165,000 euros excluding tax, the Sun Odyssey 410 is one of the cheapest on the market in its category. However, in order to sail it, you will have to integrate at least a "first" pack including the windlass, the 220V circuit and USB plugs, a Raymarine electronics pack and a Downwind pack to sail downwind. It is thus possible to sail in the air of time for less than 200 000 euros HT.
A large choice of configurations
It is possible to reach different levels of finish, customization and comfort by selecting from a very diverse list of equipment. Large and small drafts are available, as well as a version with hydraulic lifting keel. The standard teak woodwork can be replaced by the gray cedar of our test version, which is very modern with its horizontal stripes. Nine different upholstery fabrics are available (18 different moods). The exterior upholstery, soft top, bimini and electronic package with radar will convince offshore sailors. It's hard not to find something to suit your taste.
Equipment of great comfort
The catalog also allows you to transform this yacht into an ultra-comfortable offshore cruiser. Air conditioning or heating, electric toilets, microwave oven, audio system and 22 inch television will ideally complete a deck entirely covered with teak and the hull in a color of your choice (covering). In the two-cabin version, a freezer or a washing machine can be integrated in the airlock. The 6 kw generator, also planned, will then be essential. The total bill will happily cross the 300 000 euros HT mark, but you will have a tip-top sailing boat.
What about the competition?
In this family cruiser segment, which has become hyper-competitive (it's the "four-seater five-door" for us sailors), the Sun Odyssey 410 is doing quite well with a plurality of use and habitability. Nevertheless, the competition is very present. In versions very similar in price range and look. L' Oceanis 41.1 offers a central arch, the Dufour 412 has a very large bathroom with Italian shower and the plancha at the stern. The Bavaria 41 in S and Le Hanse 418 are very classic in architecture and have a slimmer, almost regatta-like sail plan. In the lifting keel category, the RM 1180 this is a very nice offshore unit, very well finished and attractive, but less affordable.
