Exploration 60, the largest of the Garcia shipyard's range

The Garcia shipyard announces the launch of the construction of the Exploration 60, the largest model in this range designed for the world's maritime exploration. A range that makes you want to cast off without announcing a return date.

After Exploration 45 launched in 2014 (14 m), and 52 launched in 2016 (16.50 m), Exploration 60 (18.30 m) is now under construction at Garcia.

This range, designed with the help of the famous tourdumondist Jimmy Cornell, is ideal for travelling under the tropical sun or to the high latitudes of the poles. The site strives to do the best in the field.

Thus the sailboats designed by Olivier Racoupeau are integral dinghies with shaped aluminium hulls. The Exploration 60, the flagship of the range, takes up the lines inaugurated on the smallest models. Thus the deckhouse offers a beautiful glazed surface on the sides and on the front in order to offer a panoramic view once seated in the saloon.

The cockpit is protected by a dog house, this rigid "hood" under which you can protect yourself in difficult sailing conditions. A cap extends this shelter to come over the cockpit. Note the inland wheelhouse for cold sailing.

For safety, watertight bulkheads form compartments at the front and rear of the boat. For the sun (but also the cold) the thermal insulation is particularly monitored. The descent door is also a watertight door.

Dedicated to sailing far and autonomously, the fuel tank has been generously dimensioned (2500 litres). The technical room is also spacious to ensure easy maintenance.

As for the layout, the site provides 2 or 3 cabins with a maximum of 8 berths. Indeed, despite its 18.30 m length, this sailboat is destined for a small crew who want to discover the world in complete comfort. Because despite its sophistication and luxurious amenities, Exploration is a sailboat to live on. Garcia Exploration 60
