The Nauticales of La Ciotat

Les Nauticales is a boat show afloat, organized by the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis from Saturday 31 March to Sunday 08 April 2018 in La Ciotat. Presented by the organization as the 4th French boat show, it opens the boating season in the Mediterranean during the Easter weekend. This year's programme includes entertainment during the first 3 days and conferences during the rest of the week.

In 2017, nearly 35,000 visitors came to the ciotadens pontoons and in 2018, the afloat show will welcome 200 exhibitors and 400 boats on an area of 30,000 m2. This event, sponsored by the French Nautical Industries Federation, aims to promote the sector, its products and new developments, encourage the practice of boating and confirm the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolitan area's position as Europe's leading yachting centre. Thus, many brands will be present at the show, in particular through their resellers or dealers. This is an opportunity for visitors to discover the new 2018 products and to take part in the events.

For nine days, Les Nauticales, boaters will attend various events, conferences and debates. The show opens on the Easter weekend with three days reserved for the general public to discover the show and attend highlights.

Visitors will be able to stroll through several thematic areas such as sliding, fishing or traditional space, try out the boats at sea or take part in water activities in the pool. All free of charge.

On the programme of highlights, the 2024 Olympics with the presentation of the Olympic Sailing media, the presence of champions from all nautical disciplines such as Yvan Bourgnon, Bertrand de Broc or the godmother of the edition, Charline Picon, demonstrations and film projections in a dedicated area. The associations and clubs of the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolis (traditional sailing, fishing, sliding, diving, nature protection, yachtsmen...) will present their program and will make discover their activities.

The weekend (of which Monday 2 is a public holiday for reminder) will be followed by a week of lectures and debates. The themes will focus on the nautical industry, its economy, its professions, its developments, its specificities and its assets. From Tuesday onwards, conferences, round tables and debates will be organised with the presence of professionals and specialists who will deal with important subjects for nautical activities today and tomorrow.
