Visitors to the boat show were able to discover at the Nautic in Paris (December 2017) the novelty of the workshops La Gazelle des sables. Accustomed to presenting us small sailing boats with a traditional look, this time it is a motorboat (miniature version) that they are launching.
Visitors to the Düsseldorf Boot (January 2018) will be able to see the shipyard in Hall 4, which is dedicated not to sailing boats but to electric boats. Indeed, the De l'Orchère (that's the name of the boat) can be either motorized with an electric or petrol outboard motor.
The De l'Orchère, named after a quarry on the banks of the Layon not far from where it was made, is a replica of a 3.20 m long motorboat. It is designed for 2 adults who will ride in calm water at the water's edge. A small pocket at the bow makes it possible to store a mobile phone, while a mini-bar that can be moved around the boat will be able to hold the aperitif.
The electric version with an engine up to 4.4 kW and lithium or traditional batteries provides a range of up to 18 hours at around 15 km/h. In the thermal version, the boat is powered by a 6 hp remote-controlled engine with a 10 l removable tank.
Small (3.20 m), light (110 kg), the De L'Orchère HB320 can be put in the water very easily. It is unsinkable (the forward locker below deck is watertight) and very stable.
A larger version, the De L'Orchère HB370, is golden and already planned for 2018. It has 4 seats on board.
