The Nautic makes its cinema

In a logic of dynamism and to attract a new public, the Paris Boat Show launches the Ciné Nautic: a film festival around the world of the sea.

In 2017, the Paris Boat Show - including the organization has been taken over by the Federation of Nautical Industries - offers novelties and new experiences, for " revitalize the living room." Among them, the Ciné Nautic.

This event, proposed for the first time by the Parisian show was created in partnership with the Specialized Festivals. Thus, visitors with a ticket for the show will be able to enjoy a break in a real cinema, installed in the heart of Hall 1. "We have the will to open the Nautic to other universes, but always in connection with nauticism." says the Nautic communication department.

A daily schedule

Every day, films will be shown on a specific theme: Surfing, Sliding, Sailing, Nature, Travel, Environment or Fishing. In total, about ten films, reports or documentaries of about thirty minutes will be screened for the entire duration of the show.

The organisation - which is also working on the development of other novelties for the show - has approached the various existing French festivals for its selection of films. "We asked them to submit their best film, report, documentary on the theme of adventure, surfing, sailing..." explains the communication department.

The selection of films will be proposed by the Brest Surf Film Festival, Offshore Film Festival, International Film Festival of the Hendaye Sea, What a Trip! Montpellier Festival, Aquatic Festival, the Lorient International Festival of Fishing Films of the World or the association OceanoScientific and the French Sailing Federation.

Free access for exhibition visitors

Access to the Ciné Nautic will be free of charge and open to all owners of an entrance to the show. The cinema room will offer 70 seats to enjoy a moment of relaxation, self-service, in Hall 1.
