SipaBoards Air, the first self-inflating paddle board

The self-inflatable paddle board Sipaboards Air

The Slovenian company Sipaboards made a name for itself in 2015 with a crowfunding campaign on Kikstater, which enabled it to launch its first range of self-inflating paddles. It is now coming back with a new range of self-inflating paddles, called SipaBoards AIR and on sale via the Indiegogo website at a more than attractive price.

This new SipaBoards AIR collection offers a self-inflating system fully integrated in the board. At the push of a button the automatic pump starts to inflate the Stand-up Paddle to the perfect pressure, all without the paddler having to do anything. This automatic inflation system allows you to get to the water faster, as it only takes 5 minutes for the board to go from "bag" to "board" stage.

This new Air range is available in 3 versions:

- The All Rounder an ideal board for the whole family

- The Air Cruiser which is suitable for long paddle rides

- The Air Balance A board for practicing yoga paddle that offers more stability and serenity on the water.

The SipaBoards Air Smart App allows you to check the pressure of your board, but also to follow your movement. The paid version will also allow you to locate your board, but also to set off an anti-theft alarm.

SipaBoards has started marketing its boards for summer 2017. The campaign had started in March 2016 and the first boards were to be delivered by summer 2016, but due to the enthusiasm of buyers, delivery was postponed to summer 2017.

For the moment, they are only sold on the Indiegogo website at "bargain" prices and delivered worldwide. For beginners, the company offers an "entry-level" board, the Neo sold at the price of $640 (instead of $1090), to which you will have to add the price of the paddle ($150). The three other models are sold at $940 (to which a paddle must also be added) and include a carrying bag and a leash.
