Equipment Weekly / 3 pieces of equipment for leisure activities on and in the water as seen at Boot Düsseldorf 2024

Europe's leading boat show, the Boot in Düsseldorf brings together most of the industry every year at the end of January. In the aisles, we found 3 products designed for boat-related leisure activities. New products for fun on and in the water.

Sublue Vapor, a high-performance underwater scooter

Pocket submarine specialist Sublue is launching a brand new product. This one stands out from its predecessors, as it is now powered by jet propulsion (rather than propellers). This gives it even greater performance, with diver speeds topping the 10 km/h mark. Weighing in at just 8kg with battery, it offers a range from one hour at low speed to 20 minutes at full speed. The removable battery - several are available - can be recharged in 1.5 hours with the optional rapid charger. Capable of descending to 40 m, it features a depth gauge that can cut the turbine at a preset depth. A good safety feature when the device is left in the hands of children. This underwater scooter also features a float on top of the unit, which raises it to the surface if dropped. 2,999 incl. VAT with battery and carrying case.

Tikki Factory Megascape, a different approach to paddling

Manufacturer of innovative inflatable products (gangways, lazy bags, armchairs, etc.), Tiki Factory is launching a new paddle concept. The machine, 4.20 m long and 1.50 m wide, has 4 fixed seats. At the rear, two people can also paddle upright. The aim is to enable people new to water sports to enjoy sailing without fear of falling into the water. Sitting on their wheelchair, they can participate, or not, in the movement of the boat. But the boat can also be adapted for use by people with disabilities, or even as a platform for diving or snorkeling. Price ?1,995 incl. VAT

Pedayak, a complete electric motor

The Pedayak comes in many versions. From a rotomolded polyethylene hull, this strange pedal-powered craft can be adapted to catamaran, prao, trimaran, with or without sail. For 2024, its inventor and builder is proposing an electric motor powered by a battery that recharges with solar panels. These will be installed overhead, like a roof, or on the trimaran's trampolines. The Pedayak weighs 40 kg and can be maneuvered with pedals, forwards or backwards. The propeller is protected by two keels to ensure safe grounding. Electric Pedayak: from ?4,680 incl. VAT.
