Evo Yachts is offering its innovative expandable cockpit in a walk-around version with the Evo WA

Evo WA, new yacht from Evo Yachts

Evo Yachts, the young Italian brand that made its name with the successful Evo 43 model - a 13 m long daycruiser with an extendable cockpit - is launching a second model, the Evo WA, a 13.12 m walk-around model with the same innovative features. It will be presented at the next Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2017, alongside the rest of the range.

The Evo WA was designed by Studio Tecnico Rivellini, with interiors and exteriors by Valerio Rivellini and built by Blu Emme Yachts. This new model takes up the same concepts that made the success of the first model: clean lines, minimalist design, original solutions to maximise the recreational potential of the boat in form and function.

The main feature of the Evo WA is the ability to move all around the deck, from the aft bathing platform to the large sundeck at the bow, thanks to the gangways. "This characteristic that gives the boat its name, borrowed from the world of fishing boats, is integrated into the elegant and contemporary style that characterises the Evo Yachts brand" explains the construction site.

The Evo WA is equipped with the same "XTension" feature for which Evo WA is famous the Evo 43 The rear bulwarks can be opened hydraulically in less than 30 seconds with a simple touch screen operation. This increases cockpit space by 40% for a 25m2 deck space on the water. A space usually found on larger boats.

It is also in this cockpit area that the most original solutions can be found, depending on the owner's wishes and the time of day. Options include: up to 3 sun loungers, a retractable central table or comfortable cushions that can be transformed into benches or floating carpets. There is also a "Transformer", a platform that swivels 270° and converts into a gangway, swim ladder, diving platform or even a tender lift.

There is also a hidden cooking area in this area, which can be equipped with an induction hob, a teppanyaki hob or a barbecue, depending on the owner's wishes.

All operations on board are carried out thanks to the home automation system, which allows you to manage all the navigation parameters and basic functions of the yacht from an Ipad. "Operations are extremely intuitive and user-friendly. In fact, the Evo WA is designed to be appreciated even by owners with limited experience, especially during mooring manoeuvres with the help of the IPS.

The yacht is equipped with Volvo Penta IPS 600 (2x435 HP) engines, which, combined with a deep V hull of 18° gives her a top speed of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 32 knots.

"Evo WA is our new challenge. Our goal is to expand the Evo fleet, offering owners the possibility to choose the yacht that best suits their navigational needs. Customisation and quality remain the shipyard's strong points and are also the distinguishing features of the Evo WA. We are convinced that our choices will prove to be winning ones, just as it was for the Evo 43" explained the Mercuri brothers, owners of the Evo Yachts brand.
