The Vanqraft 16, a cross between a jet ski and a tender

First visuals of the new sea toy, the Vanqraft 16, a cross between a jet-ski and a tender. The Dutch luxury yacht brand has just launched its first model, capable of reaching 40 knots!

Although the designers of the Vanqraft 16 - Guido de Groot and Studio Delta - made precise calculations related to speed and acceleration, it was only once in the water that the construction site was able to verify its projections. And the least we can say is that he is delighted, as he explains "We carried out the first tests on 11th March 2017 and, as the video shows, we soon realised that this concept, designed by the owner of Vanquish - Tom Steentjes - works like a dream."

We'll have to wait a little longer to test this different kind of sea scooter. The first models will make their European tour in the south of France and the Balearic Islands between June and July 2017.

The Vanqraft 16 is a cross between a water scooter and a tender, capable of carrying up to five passengers. The yard describes it as combining excellent manoeuvrability, exceptional comfort compared to other water scooters and first-class technology. Each owner will be able to customize his tender to his own taste.

Powered by a 200 HP Yamaha 1.8 L engine with jet propulsion, it can easily reach 40 knots, while the Veloce version will reach more than 50 knots. For more manoeuvrability, the Vanqraft 16 can be used in reverse when necessary. While the jet propulsion, installed flat in the hull, allows it to be stored in any tender garage.
