The Düsseldorf Boot, a Kolossal show

Hall 6 which welcomes superyachts on the Boot Dusseldorf

The German Boat Show, which brings together the entire international boating market, was held from 21 to 29 January 2017. And as announced on paper, the Boot is living up to its reputation as a gigantic show! Especially since it welcomes units of nearly 30 m long, on a lounge ashore...

17 halls, 1,800 exhibitors, 1,800 boats on display, 60 superyachts, a 1.50 m surfing wave where 1,000 surfers came to try it out, a diving pool measuring 6 x 4.60 m and 1.80 m deep, and a 90 m long river... The figures speak for themselves! The Boot in Düsseldorf was the boat show to be at for 9 days!

Very large units on display

Both sailing and motor yachts up to 30 m in length were exhibited in Düsseldorf. Hall 6 was home to the very large motor yachts - the superyachts - such as the Princess 30M, the largest (30.45 m) and most expensive model exhibited at the show. Here, 60 superyachts of up to 30 m in length were on display, representing almost the entire market: Cranchi, Absolute, Prestige, Princess, Sunseeker, Azimut, Ferretti..

In hall 16, the large sailing yachts had nothing to envy to the motor superyachts. Here too, many large models were on display, including Swan, Amel and Oyster, which presented the 675, a 21.07-meter sailboat. Among the large units unveiled for the first time in the world, we could see the Solaris 55 (16.70 m), the X-Yacht X6 (19.2 m) or the Bavaria C57 (16.73 m), the new flagship of the German shipyard.

Numerous nautical activities

Not only the boats attracted visitors, but also a wide range of water sports and activities were on show at the Boot. Starting with The Wave in hall 2, a 9-meter wide, 1.40-meter deep pool with waves of different heights (from 1 to 1.50 meters high). Ten pumps generate waves with the Deep Water Surfing System technology to provide a realistic surfing experience. From the youngest to the oldest, all you had to do was sign up to enjoy a moment on the waves.
