This will be the 16th year that the French Sailing Federation has organised the election of the Sailor of the Year. In 2016, six personalities (seven in total) are in the running: four men, one woman and a pair of women. All have been chosen for their performances throughout the year.
The jury, like the public, will have to choose which of its sailors deserves the title of Sailor of the Year. The public will be able to vote on the FFVoile website from 20 November to 4 December. Their vote will count double in the final jury vote. The award ceremony will take place at the Théâtre Edouard VII on Monday, December 5th.
