Cap-Martinique 2026 âeuros Registration opens for transatlantic adventure
The Cap-Martinique, a transatlantic race dedicated to amateur skippers, returns for a third edition in 2026. The start will be on April 19, 2026 from La Trinité-sur-Mer (Morbihan) for a non-stop Atlantic crossing to Fort-de-France, Martinique.
To remember:
- Online registration: Opens December 16 at 1pm.
- Limited seating: 70 boats maximum to guarantee a unique experience.
- Reinforced conditions: Each participant must have raced 500 miles before the start.
- Format: Solo or duo race, open to amateur skippers.
The route between La Trinité-sur-Mer and Fort-de-France remains faithful to previous editions, as does the crews' commitment to supporting a societal or environmental cause. In 2024, the race attracted 60 boats and 100 sailors from all horizons, mixing young talent with international sailors.

FFVoile and ASO extend their partnership for the Tour Voile until 2029
The French Sailing Federation (FFVoile) and Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) announce the renewal of their collaboration for the organization of the Tour Voile, the emblematic crewed race. Initially entrusted to the FFVoile for three editions (2023-2025), management of the event has now been extended until 2029, the year marking the 50? edition of this competition created in 1978.
A commitment to the future:
The Tour Voile, organized around sporting, environmental and societal values, will continue to develop according to six founding principles:
- Training young people and women in ocean racing,
- Use of an existing fleet (Figaro 3),
- Logistical and budgetary restraint,
- Reducing land-based boat movements,
- Integration of events already on the calendar.
The Figaro 3 remains the official support until 2029, ensuring continuity in equipment and greater accessibility for crews.
The Tour Voile 2025, scheduled to run from June 25 to July 13, will set sail from the southwest of France along the Atlantic coast before finishing in the English Channel. True to its values, the race still requires 50% of its crew to be between the ages of 16 and 26, with at least one woman on board.

The IMOCA Les P'tits Doudous leaves the yard!
On December 17, a symbolic milestone will be reached for the IMOCA Les P'tits Doudous. After a year of innovative construction at DUQUEINE Atlantique, using re-used carbon, the hull will leave the yard for Saint-Philibert (Morbihan), not far from her future home port of La Trinité-sur-Mer.
This first IMOCA designed for Armel Tripon's Vendée Globe 2028 marks a major step forward in sustainability in ocean racing. In the coming weeks, she will undergo her final preparations before a scheduled launch in spring 2025.

Jean-Luc Denéchau re-elected President of the Fédération Française de Voile (French Sailing Federation)
On Tuesday December 10, Jean-Luc Denéchau was re-elected as President of the Fédération Française de Voile for a second four-year term (2024-2028). This election, marked by a turnout of 62,08 % was the first to allow direct voting by affiliated clubs and establishments, in line with the 2022 law aimed at democratizing sport in France.
Jean-Luc Denéchau, at the head of a 42-member Board of Directors, announced his ambition to pursue the reforms already underway, focusing on :
- Modernization and attractiveness of sailing, particularly among young people and those who are far removed from sporting activities.
- Support for clubs and volunteers through modern tools and appropriate training.
- Promoting sustainable sailing the Federation is also committed to integrating environmental issues into all its actions.

Vendée Globe 2024 âeuros A record first month!
One month after the start, the 10? edition of the Vendée Globe is beating all records, confirming its immense sporting, popular and media success.
The departure village in Les Sables d'Olonne welcomed 1.65 million visitors a 10% increase on 2016. More than 350,000 people were on hand to witness the departure on November 10 10 million French viewers followed the line crossing live.
On the water, the race lived up to its promise with some spectacular records:
- Sébastien Simon (Groupe Dubreuil): record 615.33 miles in one day (average speed 25.64 knots).
- Charlie Dalin (MACIF Santé Prévoyance): new record between the Capes of Good Hope and Leeuwin in 9d 22h 27min .
With only two retirements out of 34 boats, the fleet continues to perform well, demonstrating the progress made in terms of reliability.
The numerical figures reflect a global success story:

- 47 million visits on the official website (+92%).
- 150 million page views (+67%).

Foiling Week Pensacola 2025 âeuros A unique event in the United States
In less than three months, the first Pensacola Foiling Week will take off from February 24 to March 2, 2025 in Florida. This flagship international sailing event, recognized as a special event by World Sailing, promises to be a unique spectacle bringing together 19 foiling classes on the waters of Pensacola Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
The edition includes six spectacular new classes for 2025:
- Kite Foil (Olympic sport since Paris 2024)
- Open Wing Foil
- SUP Foil
- Surf (prone) Foil
- Pump Foil
- Wake Board Foil
SUP, Surf, Pump and Wake disciplines will be combined in an innovative format called FlexFoil, a two-day multi-disciplinary competition combining different events depending on weather conditions.
On the program: thrilling races, technology demonstrations, technical workshops, and a lively racing village in Maritime Park. Foiling Week will also focus on sustainability, inclusion, and training for young people and women.
Reduced-rate registrations (-25%) end on December 31, 2024.

Pauline Courtois, four-time women's match-racing world champion!
Pauline Courtois and her crew "Match'in Pink by Normandy Elite Team" have won their fourth consecutive Match-Racing World Championship title, equalling the record set by Denmark's Dorte Jensen. This week in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Norman sailor, accompanied by Sophie Faguet, Louise Acker, Maelenn Lemaitre and Laurane Mettraux, put in a faultless performance, winning all 21 matches sailed, an impressive achievement in the Red Sea.
Already victorious in Cherbourg (2021), Auckland (2022) and Denmark (2023), Pauline Courtois confirms her status as world number 1 and consolidates her domination of the women's circuit. This latest triumph comes on the heels of a brilliant season which included victory on the Women's World Match Racing Tour and participation in the Women's America's Cup with the French challenge Orient-Express Racing Team.
The French, unbeaten in the qualifying phase, successively eliminated Sweden's Martina Carlsson in the semi-finals (3-0) before defeating New Zealand's Megan Thomson in the final (3-0), concluding with an incredible 21/21.
Pauline Courtois and her team will be in Paris on December 16 at the Olympia for the Trophées des Marins, where they are among the nominees for "Sailor of the Year 2024".
Hoalen Brest Douarnenez Classic âeuros 3áµ edition in 2025
Heading for the summer of 2025! The Hoalen Brest Douarnenez Classic returns for a 3? edition from July 29 to August 3, 2025. This event, which has become a must for classic yacht enthusiasts, will be held between the Brest roadstead, the Iroise Sea and Douarnenez Bay, offering an exceptional maritime setting.
The organizers, Sea to See and Kaori, are innovating this year with two separate classifications for a fairer competition. The program includes coastal courses and runs, allowing the public to admire the yachts in action. On land, there will be a range of activities, including meetings between crews and children to learn more about seafaring professions.
