Sailor of the Year 2024, vote for your favorite and see you at the Olympia on December 16

Lauriane Nolot, Sailor of the Year 2023

The Sailor of the Year ceremony returns to the Olympia on December 16, 2024. An evening to celebrate the great names of French sailing and to choose the person who will succeed Lauriane Nolot, the 2023 winner. The public is invited to vote for their favorite for this historic year for French sailing.

A flagship event for an exceptional year

2024 will be remembered as an exceptional year for French sailing. The calendar kicked off in January with the Arkea Ultim Challenge, the first solo round-the-world Ultim race, before continuing with two iconic transatlantic races in, preamble to the Vendée Globe, The Transat CIC and the New-York Vendée. This summer, the Olympic Games made their mark with three French medals, cheered on daily by over 12,000 spectators in the Bay of Marseille.

The major events didn't stop there. The America's Cup and the start of the legendary Vendée Globe once again confirmed France's position as an essential sailing nation. These feats, combined with performances in windsurfing, wingfoil, kiteboarding and Olympic sailing, reaffirm France's place among the world leaders in the sport.

A prestigious evening at the Olympia

On December 16, the Fédération Française de Voile (French Sailing Federation) invites the public to the Olympia for an evening rich in emotion. Spectators will discover the most outstanding sailing films of 2024, before witnessing the revelation of the year's hopefuls and coaches. The highlight, of course, will be the proclamation of the Sailor of the Year 2024, who will succeed Lauriane Nolot, crowned in 2023 for her exceptional career.
