Opening of the Paris 2016 Boat Show in less than a month!

After the autumn shows of the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Grand Pavois, the next show will be in Paris! The Nautic will open its doors to the public from 3 to 11 December 2016, and, as every year, announces its batch of new products.

As every year, the Porte de Versailles boat show will welcome about 1000 boats: sail, motor, kite, kayak, etc... A varied panel with sizes ranging from less than 1 metre to more than 23 metres, with the now famous CNB 76, also present every year since 2014... and prices ranging from 200 to 2 million euros. "That's what makes the richness of this key event: far from being a niche show, the Nautic covers all practices and is open to the general public."

Fishing, SUP, the Nautic's flagship animations

On the entertainment side, we will find the Nautic SUP Paris Crossing, crossing Paris by SUP, which every year gains in importance. The event has become one of the most important in the world with 600 riders who meet on the Seine on the first Sunday (December 4th) of the show. They will be 100 more than last year... The Nautic will also launch into fishing with a sport fishing competition on December 10th: the Nautic Street Fishing, which consists in releasing your catch. Finally, many conferences and awards will take place, such as the Nautic Design Awards or the Nautic Start Up Contest, a real springboard for innovative collaborative solutions.

As always, the large pool in Hall 1 will allow you to try out dinghies, introduce children to them, but also to admire Wake-board or SUP champions, as well as various safety demonstrations. The Vendée Globe will also be in the spotlight, as live broadcasts of the Vendée Globe sessions will be shown on the Pays de la Loire stand.

Visitors will also be able to discover an exhibition on the Gitana ocean racing team, represented in the Vendée Globe by Sebastien Josse and his yacht Edmond de Rotschild. The Eric Tabarly association will also be presenting its exhibition around the Pen Duick V, the first ballasted monohull and precursor to the Vendée Globe.

Changing halls

Last year, the halls had already been reorganized to meet exhibitor demand and improve the visitor experience. However, this reorganization had not been conclusive for exhibitors, with signage that needed to be revised.

This year, the motor boats, joined by the semi-rigid boats, will occupy the whole of Hall 4, to which it will be possible to gain almost direct access via Halls 2 and 3 without being exposed to snow or rain. As a reminder, last year the motor boats were installed in Halls 2.2 and 4.

Surfing will once again be present in Hall 1 (a pocket surf that was used to learn the discipline was sadly installed at the back of Hall 4 in 2015) alongside the sailboats and the slide, on the Nautic spot. The Salon Piscine & Bien-Etre will leave Hall 1 to take over part of 2.2.

Equipment, Electronics, Hardware and Mobile Applications are still grouped together in Hall 2.1, while Insurance, Services and Financing will be in Hall 2.2. Rental, a sector that has seen 2016 growth of over 10%, and Tourism remain in Hall 1, alongside Sailing Yachts, which still make up the bulk of the rental offer.
