This meeting has become over the years a reference for all lovers of aquatic images in the world of surfing . Bruno Delaye, organizer, gathers each year an exceptional jury and a selection of films, and gathers on the promenade of Anglet thousands of spectators.
"We see families, surfers, vacationers and locals, young and old. With its 100% free formula, we wish with the Anglet City Council and our partners to offer 4 evenings of artistically accessible screenings" comments Bruno Delaye.

In 2016, the organization received nearly 120 productions from the 4 corners of the world, feature films and shorts, made by professionals and amateurs. This year again, the selection is international, with productions from Chile, the United States, Australia, Basque Country, Tahiti, Brazil. In total, 17 feature films and 6 short films have been selected for a total of 14 hours of viewing, spread over 4 free evenings.
And there are clearly two trends emerging:
- Films that deal with strong subjects such as solidarity and the environment with an important place given to the human being, with surfing as a common thread.
- The television projects that 14 years ago (when the festival was created) did not exist and took off with the multiplication of thematic channels and the creation of the festival.

A screening for all surf lovers
This event gathers all generations, passionate or not of surfing. Two giant screens are installed for the occasion at the Chambre d'Amour, feet in the sand. From 5 pm, you will find a selection of international feature films, presenting their vision of surfing, travel and strong encounters, sometimes with exclusive historical images.
