I took 44 knots on Cape Camarat 10.5

Leader 10.5

The biggest model in the range, we had the opportunity to take over the Leader 10.5 in Cannes Bay. Discovery of a well-born hull and its 2 X 350 Yamaha horses.

Leader 10.5 is the new 2015 model from Jeanneau shipyard. Presented at the end of 2015, it is the largest model on the site, which already has 4 existing models: 5.5, 6.5, 7.5 and 8.5. She is the 2nd e model of this size, in walk around version, of the site after 8.5, which had been a real success. The shipyard's largest model - 10.57 m - is a family outboard with a sporty look. The hull by Michael Peters has a double step - which equips the American Coats Gard and exclusively the Jeanneau models - and an ergonomics that seduces all markets (United States, Italy...).

Inside, there is a large volume with two cabins - a double aft cabin and a convertible saloon - and a bathroom with a real separate shower. The galley is located on the port side and has storage spaces that are not necessarily practical in terms of height. The interior finishes are beautiful and the light flows in through the windows. The set is available in varnished walnut.

Outside, there is a front sunbathing area and a large cockpit at the stern with a 3-seater cockpit, an outside galley and a dining area at the stern of the boat with an L-shaped bench seat and easy-to-place side seats.

The Leader 10.5 is above all a family model - and therefore safe with high freeboards - but it does not forget to be sporty. Easy to maneuver, he is very lively and nervous. The console is equipped with the "Helm Master" system also called "joystick" which has many features such as automatic preset trim, speed control, single lever to enjoy navigation and not focus on manoeuvres.

In terms of performance, we noted that at 44 knots - maximum speed - the boat consumes 261 l/h for a revolutions per minute speed on the dashboard of 6000 revolutions per minute and an engine consumption in litres per hour of 261 l and an autonomy of 108 minutes. But the cruising speed for an ideal efficiency is 26 knots for an engine consumption in litres per hour of 105.7 and an autonomy of 159 mn.

The new 2016 feature will be the T-top option.
