The Cosmo 600, the tender that combines elegance with electric propulsion

The Cosmo 600 is an electrically powered open tender with a modern design, developed by the Austrian shipyard Exner. A boat for day sailing, based on an energy efficient concept.

The Cosmo 600 is an outboard tender with electric propulsion. Its modern and clean lines are reminiscent of the Smartboat or the Iguana 29 with its very straight and high freeboards. The shipyard wanted it to be an innovative, comfortable, energy-efficient boat, using sustainable technologies and intelligent solutions. Her state-of-the-art electric motorization (released in October 2015) allows her to be fast, but also silent.

For example, its new lightweight hull construction is the result of rigid foam panels originally developed for the aircraft industry. Its hull shape is also the result of hydrodynamic calculations, to best adapt to the power of the electric motor. The hull of the Cosmo 600 is a very pronounced V shape with a very pronounced step.

The chosen motor is characterized by economical energy consumption and requires only a small battery. The Cosmo 600 was actually presented at the Boot in Düsseldorf (2015) with a new outboard motor: the Aquawatt Green Flash. This new 40kW/50CV motor was launched in October 2015. This motor allows for acceleration to over 30 knots. "To cover a distance of 22 km, the Cosmo 600 takes less than 24 minutes" announces the shipyard.

The Cosmo 600 can also be used for water sports with a wakeboard or monoski tower.

The cockpit has a bench seat for 2 people. Behind, a second bench seat can accommodate 2 other people and acts as a sundeck when the backrest is extended. At the front, there is a choice between a large sundeck or a closed deck for a roundabout version. The interior layout of the boat is made to order and additional options allow for the installation of a refrigerator, an audio system or a hydroelectric lift system for the outboard motor.
