Roxy muses in the spotlight for her 25th birthday

To celebrate its 25th anniversary in style, Roxy honors three of its muses, Lisa Anderson, Kelia Moniz and Stephanie Gilmore, in video.

Roxy, the women's surf brand, counterpart of Quicksilver, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Created in 1990 by Alan Green and John Law, two professional surfers, it has helped develop women's surfing by offering adapted equipment. On the Pacific islands of Hawaii, past and future Roxy muses are the brand's muses at heart, but have also helped create a movement for women around the world.

To celebrate this 25 e roxy has decided to honor three iconic athletes: Lisa Anderson, Kelia Moniz and Stephanie Gilmore. The three of them embody the strong and elegant woman. With more than 12 world surfing titles, they couldn't represent Roxy and its 25-year history better.

Lisa Andersen

From the introduction of the first women's boardshort in 1990, of which Lisa was the muse, to her 4 world championship titles between 1994 and 1999, she is a legend. Inspiration for all, she encourages girls to inscribe their name in the sports culture. In 1995, she became the first woman to be featured on the cover of Surfer Magazine and was voted one of the 25 most influential people in surfing, along with surfing legends Tom Carroll and Mark Richards.

Kelia Moniz

Longboarding champion, Kella "Sister" Moniz began practicing Hang Ten as a child. The beautiful Hawaiian knew how to use all her talent to become one of the most versatile surfers of the board. In 2012 and 2013 she won the world titles. Stephanie Gilmore says of her "Watching her surf is like watching the most majestic ballet you can imagine, except that she's in the water. It's a sight everyone should see sometime."

Stephanie Gilmore

She has endless optimism, a passion for competition and an indomitable spirit. With more world titles than any other competitor on the women's tour combined, she continues to raise the bar for women's surfing.

When you see her agility and the ease with which she catches waves, it's hard to believe it all started 10 years ago. She skipped school to compete and win her first Roxy Pro Gold Coast. Today, this six-time world champion knows a determination without limits.
