Free initiations to many board sports
From Friday, May 30th to Sunday, June 1st, the association Lacanau Gliss'Festival and the Tourist Office Médoc Océan organizes a big event around the world of the glide and the various sports referring to it. During three days, it is the opportunity to try surfing, catamaran, kitesurfing, wave skiing, sea kayaking, skateboarding, parachuting, rollerblading among more than 35 sports practices proposed for free by local associations. Whether at sea, on land or in the air, many activities will be presented.
This 15th edition will be sponsored by Justine Dupont, Canaulaise and vice world champion of longboard in 2007 and double European champion ASP.
Activities for young and old...
Among the proposed activities, many demonstrations will be made by professionals or experts in their field. The French Longboard/Stand Up Paddle/Tandem Surfing Cup, organized by the Lacanau Surf Club will also take place this weekend on the North beach. Finally, two villages will be accessible on the seafront, a village exhibiting around board sports, noveltiesâeuros¦ and an animation village for children with inflatable structures, trampolines, sculptures, initiations to mini-golfâeuros¦ The exhibition "Gliss Art Festival" will take place in the room l'Escoure. In the evening, free concerts from 21:30: Friday, reggae atmosphere with the Bordeaux group "Trouss ça" and Saturday night, exceptional concert of Tom Frager, renowned surfer. Rendezvous from 10 am to midnight on Friday and Saturday and from 9 am to 6 pm on Sunday, in Lacanau to have fun all together!
