Olivier Chauvin River editor

Fresh or salt water, Olivier Chauvin has been sharing his passion for boating for more than 35 years, whether it be river or maritime. Trained as a carpenter and nautical technician, he was a boat rental company, author of navigation charts and guides, and journalist for Fluvial Magazine before joining the Bateaux.com team.

He has successively renovated three sailboats and a river boat and enjoys nothing more than sharing his technical knowledge. Having traveled most of the French waterways, he has brought back beautiful images and an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the river world. He has lived for years on board his river boat and practices coastal navigation in the channels on board his Figaro 5 a mini wooden cruiser.
