Conversion of a powercat into a transoceanic trawler, the Lady't Bee for sale

Converting a motor catamaran intended for charter into a blue water cruising yacht with the autonomy of a transatlantic race: that's what Dominique and Malou set out to do with their Lady't Bee. After validating and approving the concept on this Leopard 47 PC, its owners put it up for sale. An atypical opportunity that leaves no one indifferent.

Dominique and Malou have been sailing the seas for over 20 years. And always on catamarans! In 2016, they swapped their Catafjord sailboat for a powercat. To everyone's surprise, they boarded a Leopard 47 PC, which they transformed from top to bottom.

Lovers of sailing and travel, they chose to modify the boat's features to suit their own taste. Among the biggest changes is the removal of the flybridge, which is useless when sailing and has been replaced by a substantial solar array. Likewise, the 150 hp engines are now combined with folding propellers, making them work at low revs for a speed of 8 knots, with fuel consumption of 0.7 l/mile (5.5 l/hour). All these modifications and their results are described in detail in a series of 14 articles available to the reader .

But with age, the crew decided to change course and return to land. Lady't Bee, this extensively modified catamaran is now on the second-hand market. Click here to see his ad .

It's an exceptional catamaran, the fruit of long reflection and whose concept has been tested and validated for 8 years in Caribbean waters. It's a boat that's ready to take to the sea, and one that could be of interest to many sailors who understand that speed at sea is always synonymous with discomfort and extra cost.
